Hutch not worried despite keeper crisis

London United manager Bob Hutchinson is no worry despite goalkeepers Simon Herding and Mikki da Silva ruled out with injuries.

Steven Knott is only senior keeper in side, but because of their crisis, the club have signed free agent 'keeper Sam Jones on an emergency deal until one of their ruled-out keepers recover.

"Simon's a big blow for us, because he's the best keeper in the world," said Hutchinson.

"He's a big part of the team, but we have enough depth to cope."

Simon KO rocks United

London United keeper and Flamboyant Five member Simon Herding has been ruled out for a month after a freak accident.

Apparently Simon broke his back trying to reach the remote on Saturday afternoon. According to Simon, he was watching 'MLF Soccer Saturday' on TOTV by the time he stretched himself to the remote and then - OW!

Not the news that the other F5ive boys and LUFC teammates - Neil Boyle, CraiCo, Edward Redwood and Kevin Warhurst - want to hear.

It is bad news for the Black and Red, who will be ruled out for some of London United's big games ahead, including the big London derby against FC London.

Mikki da Silva and Steven Knott are set to fight for the goalkeeper's jersey for the rest of month.
