A weakened London United side beat the Dublin Druids 2-0 with goals from Ian Guthrie and Adam Stockwell.

Bobby Hutchinson played Steven Knott in goal, Ian Parker at right-back, Dean Whitley and Sammy Stockwell at centre-half, Gerald Turpijn at left-back, Jean Croussant, Adam Stockwell, Guthrie and debutant Dan Greenwood - who United signed from MLF2's Wolverines - in midfield and Lionel Nunez and newcomer Joe Phillips - from the Wigan Comets - in attack.
