London United 4-0 Monsters

Sunday 20th April - MLF Round 5
HMV Park, Essex

London United romped once again to beat the Monsters 4-0.

Ian Parker, playing his first game against his old club, put United in front, but instead shrugged like saying 'I can't believe it'.

Craig 'CraiCo' Cohen, ever the magician, did his stepovers and he beat Mike Matsson and Darren Watkinson in a foot race, nutmegged Matthew Flansky, torturized Shane Campbell and then crossed for Rodrigo Santos who made it 2-0.

And the Geordie CraiCo was also the catalyst of the third goal setting up Argentinian wizkid Lionel Nunez and the 20-year-old chested it down before half-volleying past Serb keeper Igor Kuljman.

And the score was completed by the on-fire Edward Redwood, with a crisp 15-yard finish.

United looked solid at the back as usual with Mark Strickland the inspirational leader and rookie Johnny Macdonald once again doing the business in the centre.

Left-back Ashton Reid tortured the Monsters defence with his dangerous crosses, long throw-ins and corners, while right-back Gary Mitchell attempted countless long-range shots, most of them dangerous.

And Bobby Hutchinson's team have already struck an amazing 25 goals in five MLF games with the season not even a month old, the only team who come close (and they don't even come close) are the Manchester Magic with eight.
